OHS Mock Trial Team

The Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle, in its ongoing effort to ‘serve children of the world,’ presented a check this week for $1000 to the OHS Mock Trial Team. The money will help cover registration fees for Mock Trial tournament scrimmages that offer our OHS teams the opportunity to practice presentations and arguments in a real competition setting throughout the state.

Builders Club November 2025 Food Drive

The 15th Annual BMS Food Drive was another huge success, and especially needed this time of year. Under the direction of adviser Mrs. Trish Owen, the Builders Club held its annual food drive, collecting, boxing, carrying, and loading more than 1400 items donated by students, their families, and staff. The items were brought to the Garfield Memorial Church Food Pantry in Pepper Pike with the help of Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle President David Smercina (OHS ’75) and the Kiwanis Club’s truck. Mr. Bammerlin’s and Ms. Hunkele’s Pride donated the most items at 189. Close behind with 180 items was Mr. Hodson’s Pride. And in in third place with 171 items was Mr. Eddingfield’s Pride. The Orange Elementary & Middle School PTA donated Mitchell’s gift cards for each member of the winning pride.
